X-Men Forever

Following the destruction of Asteroid M, the X-Men track down and battle Fabian Cortez, who unleashes a Phoenix-like power in Jean. Nick Fury suggests the X-Men officially join SHIELD to allay public fears, but Wolverine leaves in anger and something terrible happens to him when Jean contacts him psychically.
