Avalanche
Dominikos Ioannis Petrakis
A Greek mutant who generates seismic waves powerful enough to level buildings and reshape terrain. Avalanche was a mainstay of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants under Mystique, often partnered with Pyro and Blob. Though rarely a solo threat, his destructive potential in combination with his teammates made the Brotherhood a persistent menace.

X-Men Evolution elevated Avalanche from a forgettable C-list Brotherhood member into a compelling character with depth, giving him a memorable redemption arc and complex relationships with the student cast that fans widely consider definitive. The show's portrayal (which blended elements of Dominikos Petrakis with Rictor's personality and his friendship with Boom Boom) created such a strong impression that many fans argue it should become the standard version for future adaptations. Outside of Evolution, though, Avalanche remains largely overlooked in mainstream comics continuity.
