Pyro
St. John Allerdyce
An Australian mutant who can manipulate (but not create) fire, shaping flames into any form he can imagine. Pyro was a founding member of Mystique's Brotherhood and one of the most visually spectacular villains in the franchise. His death from the Legacy Virus was one of the era's most poignant moments, a villain given dignity in his final hours.

Pyro enjoys a cult following thanks to Aaron Stanford's memorable portrayal in the X-Men films, which brought the Australian mutant pyrokinetic to mainstream attention. The character experienced a resurgence during the Krakoa era, where his role in *Marauders* showcased him as part of the mutant pirate crew, adding layers beyond his traditional Brotherhood villain status. His appearance in *Deadpool & Wolverine* (2024) reignited interest, with Stanford noting the character drew inspiration from the *Ultimate X-Men* interpretation.
