Psylocke
Elizabeth 'Betsy' Braddock
A British telepath who has served as both Captain Britain and an X-Man. Betsy Braddock's history is one of the most convoluted in comics (she was blinded, gained cybernetic eyes, passed through the Siege Perilous, and emerged in a new body trained as a ninja assassin). Through it all, her psychic knife and warrior's discipline made her one of the X-Men's most formidable fighters.

Psylocke remains a fan-favorite X-Men character despite her complicated history, with many readers championing her iconic Jim Lee ninja design and memorable runs in Rick Remender's Uncanny X-Force. The body-swap storyline divides the fanbase (some embrace the unique narrative while others find it problematic), and there's ongoing debate about how the MCU should handle her origin. Olivia Munn's portrayal in X-Men: Apocalypse earned respect for nailing the look and action sequences, though fans wish she'd gotten better material to work with.
