Dazzler
Alison Blaire
A mutant singer who converts sound into light, originally created as a cross-promotion with Casablanca Records. Dazzler transcended her disco origins to become a legitimate X-Man, bringing a civilian perspective to a team of warriors. Her struggle to balance a music career with superhero life gave her a unique voice among the X-Men.

Dazzler remains a beloved if sometimes underestimated X-Man, with her Chris Claremont-era appearances in the late '80s and early '90s (particularly her romance with Longshot) standing out as fan favorites. The Krakoa era revitalized her character, with Dead X-Men exploring her powers in new ways and her 2024 solo series generating excitement. While she's occasionally dismissed as a relic of her disco-era origins, modern runs have proven she's far more than a novelty character, earning her a dedicated fanbase that appreciates both her resilience and her unique powerset.
