A mutant energy vampire who transforms into a humanoid pteranodon when he absorbs the life force of mutants. Karl Lykos is a tragic figure — a doctor who genuinely wants to help but whose hunger transforms him into a megalomaniacal dinosaur-man who terrorizes the Savage Land. One of the X-Men's most wonderfully absurd recurring villains.
