A small alien dragon from the Flock, bonded to Kitty Pryde after the X-Men's adventure on the Brood homeworld. He has been a constant companion through her time with the X-Men and Excalibur, providing fire-breathing support and comic relief in equal measure.

February 1983
Lockheed remains one of Marvel's most beloved animal companions, cherished for his fierce loyalty to Kitty Pryde and his surprising combat effectiveness despite his small size. His debut in Chris Claremont's classic Uncanny X-Men run established him as far more than a pet, with later stories revealing his intelligence and heroism in moments that worry readers when he's in danger. The purple dragon's enduring popularity stems from being simultaneously adorable and formidable, a rare balance that makes him a fan-favorite across decades of X-Men stories.
