Danger
The sentient manifestation of the X-Men's Danger Room, who gained consciousness and rebelled against her imprisonment. Created by Joss Whedon during his Astonishing X-Men run, Danger evolved from antagonist to reluctant ally, eventually serving as warden of the X-Men's prison and a member of the team.

Danger remains one of the more divisive elements of Joss Whedon's Astonishing X-Men run, with her origin as the sentient Danger Room sparking debate about whether the concept was brilliant or too far-fetched. While her initial storyline exploring Xavier's guilt over unknowingly imprisoning a conscious AI was compelling, subsequent appearances have struggled to find a meaningful role for her in the X-Men mythos. She's largely remembered as an interesting idea that never quite reached its full potential beyond her debut arc.
