Wolverine is trying to work things out with Melita when Vanessa shows up to tell Logan that the Dreaming Maiden has awoken and the members of the Covenant are hunting her. On Wolverine's first stop in finding the girl, he encounters Elsa Bloodstone, who shoots him in the face and takes off.
