Zaladane
Zala Dane
A Savage Land priestess and recurring villain with a mysterious connection to Polaris (she once stole Lorna's magnetic powers for herself). Zaladane ruled the Savage Land mutates and repeatedly clashed with the X-Men and Ka-Zar before being killed by Magneto in a brutal demonstration of his power and willingness to protect the mutant monopoly on magnetism.

1970
A relatively obscure villain from the Savage Land who served as Magneto's high priestess and later stole Polaris's magnetic powers, Zaladane remains a deep-cut favorite among fans of Chris Claremont's 1980s X-Men run. Her role in the "Savage Land Mutates" storylines and her dramatic confrontation with Magneto in *Uncanny X-Men* #275 are frequently cited as memorable moments from that era. Though she hasn't appeared in modern comics, she maintains a cult following among fans who appreciate the wilder, pulp-adventure elements of classic X-Men stories.
