A Generation X member with six extra feet of grey, malleable skin that he could stretch, wrap, and reshape at will. A former gang member from East LA, Angelo brought street-level grit to the Massachusetts Academy. He was one of the students tragically killed by anti-mutant extremists during the Banshee-era decline of Generation X, making his story one of unfulfilled potential.

Fan Sentiment

Skin remains a beloved figure among Generation X fans, who frequently cite him as the heart and soul of the team during the 1990s. His tragic death in 2003 is still considered one of the most devastating and poorly handled character exits in X-Men history, leaving fans disappointed that his compassionate personality and unique powerset never received proper exploration in the Krakoa era. The character represents unfulfilled potential, with readers often wishing for his resurrection and a chance to finally give him the spotlight he deserved.
