Omega Red
Arkady Rossovich
A Soviet super-soldier with retractable carbonadium tentacles and a death factor that drains the life force of those around him. Omega Red was created as a dark counterpart to Wolverine and Captain America (a product of Cold War experimentation) who became one of the X-Men's most physically dangerous foes.

Omega Red remains one of the X-Men's most enduring Cold War-era villains, a formidable physical threat whose carbonadium coils and life-draining powers make him a recurring nightmare for Wolverine specifically. His 1991 debut in Jim Lee's X-Men #4 cemented him as a worthy successor to earlier Soviet antagonists, and while he's often deployed as a simple bruiser, recent appearances in Al Ewing's X-Men Red have given him surprising depth as a warrior who respects strength and honor even in his enemies.
