Maggott
Japheth
A South African mutant with one of the most unusual power sets in X-Men history (his digestive system existed as two semi-sentient techno-organic slugs named Eany and Meany that could devour any substance and feed the energy back to him). Brief X-Men member during the late '90s, Maggott was later killed in the Neverland concentration camp, one of many casualties of the Weapon X program.

Maggott remains one of the 90s X-Men's most divisive figures, with a bizarre powerset (digestive slugs named Eany and Meany) that many found off-putting, though his South African background and unique visual design have earned him a devoted cult following. His brief tenure with the team and subsequent obscurity have made him a symbol of the era's experimental approach to new characters, sparking periodic campaigns like #BringBackMaggott from fans who appreciate his untapped potential. Recent appearances in X-Men Unlimited and the Krakoa era have given him more depth and respect, with writers like Leah Williams advocating for his return and even X-Men editor Jordan D. White recording a tribute song about him.
